With every $75 purchase, attendees can get an item of up to $40 in value for only $5! Plus, 25% of sales will be donated to the SCCC Food Bank. How awesome is that

Indian Peaks Bar and Grill Celebrity Chef Fundraiser

Indian Peaks Bar and Grill is running a Celebrity Chef Menu Series every Friday night in February from 5:30-7:30pm. Each week the menu will be themed around a different Celebrity Chef. Fun! The cost is only $15 per person and $5 of that is donated to Sister Carmen Community Center. Wine and beer pairings are available at an additional charge.

Festival of Faerie Tea

The Festival of Faerie is a local event that will be held in June of this year. The event is promoting woman-owned and women-centered businesses. Sister Carmen will be attending the festival and will be a beneficiary of funds raised.

Women who are interested in exhibiting their business/craft at this event are invited to tea at Cannon Mine Coffee in Lafayette on Sunday Feb. 5th at 2pm!

LDC Dance Fundraiser

LDC Dance is offering dance classes at SCCC. Classes are donation based and all proceeds will benefit Sister Carmen!

The classes will be held in the Community Classroom at our Aspen Ridge facility.

Classes are on Mondays 3:45pm to 4:45 pm.

Upcoming classes:
January 23 – Little Kids Dance (3-6 years)
January 30 – Big Kids Dance (6-10 years)
February 6 – Tween Teen Dance (11+years)

Ballet, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Cheer
Dance styles will vary on students desire and age level.

All classes are taught by Ms. Cherí Degenhart, assisted by Teryn Debenhart.

Lafayette Oatmeal Fest Food Drive

Sister Carmen will have a booth at the Lafayette Oatmeal Festival Health Fair on Saturday 1/14. Bring your non-perishable food donations for our Food Bank—Our wonderful volunteers will be collecting non-perishable food donations right at the booth. Just look for our name.

The Health Fair will be held from 8am to 1pm in the Lafayette Rec Center gym. Hope to see you all there!!

Lafayette/Louisville Chamber Challenge

Each December the Louisville and Lafayette Chambers challenge each other to see who can collect the most food for the Sister Carmen Community Center Food Bank.

You can help by dropping off non perishable food items at either Chamber office, or directly to Sister Carmen (655 Aspen Ridge Drive, Lafayette) before Dec 21, 2011.

If you are dropping your donations at Sister Carmen, go to the green door to the right of the loading docks and tell the staff person you’re with the Lafayette or Louisville Chamber and they’ll record the number of pounds.

The Challenge is ON! No matter who collects the most food, Sister Carmen is the Winner!!

LHCA Jammie Day

Saturday, December 17th will be Left Hand Community Acupuncture’s (LHCA) first annual Jammie Day. Bring any new set of jammies, long underwear or warm gloves to donate to Sister Carmen and you will get 1/2 off your treatment. Make a $10 or more cash or check donation to Sister Carmen and get 1/2 off your treatment. Wear your jammies in addition to your donation and get your treatment for free!

Centro Food Drive Party

Bring non perishable food items to Centro in Boulder on Dec. 14th between 6 and 9 pm and receive complimentary appetizers and drinks!

5 food items = entry for one person.

You’ll receive an anonymous letter of inspiration back from someone who received services at Sister Carmen during the holidays.
